A closer look at what we shipped in Q2 2025

We released a number of enhancements to improve how customers verify businesses, assess risk, and manage onboarding workflows. Highlights include enriched web data for Business Verification, expanded lien filing flexibility, and full tax registration support for Sole Proprietorships and Household Employers. Read on for all the updates across Business Verification, Credit Assessment, and Entity Management.

Q2 Business Verification

Enhance verification with web data
Leverage web data like company websites and LinkedIn within the KYB platform to enhance business verification, assess fraud risk, and improve conversion rates. Contact your Account Manager to enable this optional data source, and learn more in our blog.

Automate TIN Match fallback for Signal orders
You can now use Policies to automatically order a full TIN Match report when a TIN comes back as "not found" in your Signal response—no manual steps or separate endpoint required. Signal checks our cached TIN data, but a full report pings the IRS and other sources to find matches that aren’t yet in our cache. This streamlines fallback logic and helps ensure you’re not missing businesses with valid TINs.

Expanded adverse media coverage
Gain greater confidence in Enhanced Due Diligence screening and assessing fraud, lending, and portfolio risk with expanded adverse media coverage—powered by a new data feed that mimics your analysts’ manual searches (docs).

Website ownership indicator
Web Analysis now flags the likelihood that a submitted website is truly owned by the business—helping you catch typos, detect spoofed URLs, and assess web presence with more confidence (docs).

Classify a business’ industry faster
We’ve significantly improved the performance of our Industry Classification product (docs). Turnaround time is now 3x faster on average, enabling quicker onboarding decisions and reducing delays in downstream workflows.

New SEC & PTIN data now available
We now surface data from SEC EDGAR filings and the IRS PTIN registry—helping you verify businesses and tax professionals with greater confidence, and enrich profiles with authoritative government data. Contact your Account Manager to enable this data source for your account.

Q2 Credit Assessment Updates

File liens with more debtors
Include as many debtors as needed when filing liens via the Middesk API or dashboard—supporting complex deal structures. Reach out with questions or to review state-specific fees.

Filter people litigation case types
Exclude case types in People Litigation Search to focus on what matters most. Customize your settings to pre-filter relevant cases via the dashboard, available only for accounts with People Litigation Search enabled (docs). Reach out to learn more.

Q2 Entity Management Updates

Support tax registrations for Sole Proprietorships & Household Employers
Register Sole Proprietorships and Household Employers across all states with ease—now fully supported in our Tax Registration product. We’ve also improved intake flows to streamline the experience and reduce friction for your operations teams.
